Devil's Sight. Magical darkness doesn't impede the archdevil's darkvision.
Abyssal Weapons. The archdevil's weapon attacks are magical and deal an extra 5d8 necrotic damage on a hit (included in the attacks).
Magic Resistance. The archdevil has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Sense of Awe effect. Radius: 120 feet. Impossible for people to attack him when they were not attacked first by one of his avatars or Asmodeus himself.
Innate Spellcasting. The devil's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 20). The devil can innately cast the following spells, requiring only verbal components:
Cantrips:
At will: Detect Evil and Good, Charm monster, detect magic, discern location,
dominate monster, longstrider, greater dispelling, Major Image, magic circle,
restoration, Suggestion, symbol of persuasion, teleport, true seeing,
teleportation circle,
3/day each: symbol of hopelessness, fear gaze, Summon Undead, Mass Suggestion,
1/day each: Power Word Stun, Power Word Pain, Symbols, Clone, Antipathy/Sympathy
Multiattack. The archdevil makes two attacks with its weapon.
Ruby Rod of Asmodeus: Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d8 +6) bludgeoning damage, plus 22 (5d8) necrotic damage. If hit, the target is inflicted with wounds which causes an extra 3d10 necrotic damage when hit by another attack. This effect lasts until the magical wounds are healed.
One of the easiest ways to use a Ruby Rod of Asmodeus in combat was to use it as a bludgeoning club. Used like that, a Ruby Rod worked like a +6 unholy greatclub.
It can shoot three types of energy beams:
- a 150-foot (45-meter) beam of electricity, (Lightning Bolt)
- a 150-foot (45-meter) beam of acid,
- a 75-foot (23-meters) cone of intense cold.
The Ruby Rod had three protective abilities:
- One forced people to bow down before the wielder, thereby making it impossible for them to attack the wielder. (Constitution Saving Throw)
- The second one was about creating a wall of force around the wielder.
- As well as the last ability to sprout a 50-foot (15-meter) radius antimagic field that magically repaired the wielder. It would do this by first making away with detrimental enchantment effects, then with mundane detriments like lost body parts that grow back, diseases, and poison-induced effects, and at last with a full recovery of
the wielder's physical health and magical energy. However the wielder can’t move if they want the magic to work. The last ability, the anti magic healing field, could be activated intentionally but would also automatically whenever the wielder fell victim to an enchantment effect.
Trumpet of Alteration: When blown grants the user the ability to change liquids into other types of liquids.
Avatar Splitting (3/day): To perform it, the Asmodeus powers up and splits into two, then those two avatars split into four and those four into 8. This power has a quite obvious weakness, however. The 8 avatars are created by the user's energy level divided into 8. After using the technique, the avatars are usually 8 times weaker than the user individually. Avatars are dispelled after 24 Earth hours. Can only choose to summon 1, 3 or 7 avatars. If an avatar is killed in a way that destroys its soul/life energy then Asmodeus will be forever weakened. There is no main avatar.
Description
History
Asmodeus (God’s Charm), one of the 6 generals of Lucifer’s army. Tasked with recruiting new allies and gearing up new recruits for battle in hell.
Born from the seed of an angel (watcher) birthed by a daughter of man, he is a special kind of Nephilim. One born with the appearance of a Cherubim (with four heads) but without the powers of one, yet resilient/smart enough to have survived Gabriel and the Great Flood. However, Asmodeus was eventually discovered when he fell in love with a human woman, Sarah, and slayed seven successive husbands on their wedding nights, impeding the sexual consummation of the marriages. This stopped when Raphael intervened and gave Sarah’s hand to a man worthy of her. This interference angered Asmodeus and instigated a fight between the Archangel and the freak of nature. Asmodeus lost the battle after Raphael cut off his lion head which Raphael threw together with Asmodeus himself into the Abyss. From the decapitated head grew a lion that Asmodeus kept as a pet since it was once part of him.
Has a weakness to water (Fish in particular) and birds he admitted to king Solomon. He is described as 'the worst of demons' and was given the “honor” to blow the 1st trumpet of the end times.
Personality
Asmodeus is either a ruthless brutal monster or a mischievous demon endowed with a playful and satirical genius. When faced directly, he presented himself as a confident and eloquent man who was quite reasonable to talk with. In fact, it was quite difficult to see past his manners and realize that he was an evil person best left in Hell. His confidence was real and rooted in his knowledge to be one of the most powerful creatures in existence. He was never someone who pretended to know more than he did and let it be known when someone genuinely surprised him. This all to have people trust him more easily and to guide them to his side.
