Description
Wendigos are undead humanoids with char-black skin and a deer skull for a head. Under the leadership of a Spirit of Famine, they can perform coordinated attacks on villages to further the goals of their master.
Servants of Famine. Wendigos are created when a humanoid commits cannibalism in the presence of a Spirit of Famine, and are under the complete control of a Spirit of Famine. Spirits of Famine often have their Wendigos act as scouts, monitoring the village they are stalking constantly while remaining hidden, or have them raid the village at night having them kill the villages livestock, destroy bridges and roads, and even spreading fire . If the Spirit of Famine controlling it dies, a Wendigo gains free will.
Endless Hunger. As they are undead, Wendigos do not need to eat to survive, yet Wendigos are always extremely hungry, but no matter how much they eat they will never feel full. A twisted punishment for the poor souls who were promised by a Spirit of Famine that cannibalism would bring an end to their hunger.
This rendition of the Wendigo is based on the monsters from the crypt TV series Mordeo, which itself is based on the Wendigo from folklore
