Traits

Angelic Weapons. The Archons weapon attacks are magical. When the solar hits with any weapon, the weapon deals an extra 6d8 radiant damage (included in the attack).

Divine Awareness. The Archon knows if it hears a lie.

Innate Spellcasting. The Archons spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 25). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: detect evil and good, guiding bolt (7th level deals necrotic damage)

3/day each: blade barrier, create undead, resurrection

1/day each: commune, Abi-Dalzim’s Horrid Wilting

Magic Resistance. The Archon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The Archon makes two runic greatsword attacks and uses an utterance.

Runic Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 5 - 50 ft., one target. Hit: 36 (8d6 + 8) radiant damage. The Archon can mentally command the great sword to fly up to 50ft to make her attacks the sword the magically returns to her.

Bonus Actions

Utterance. As a bonus action the archon speaks a word of power. Roll a d6 or choose from the list for the effect of the word spoken.

1. Decay - The Archon targets a creature she can see within 120ft and speaks a word of power causing the creatures flesh and body to begin to break down. They take 10 (3d6) necrotic damage and must succeed on a DC 25 constitution saving throw or gain vulnerability to all damage until the end of the Archons next turn.

2. Repulse - The Archon emits a shockwave in a 20ft radius around her each creature in the area must make a DC 25 constitution save or take 18 (4d8) bludgeoning damage and be moved 30 ft away from the Archon.

3. Pain - The Archon targets a creature she can see within 120ft and inflicts unimaginable pain on them. The creature must succeed on a DC 25 wisdom saving throw or take 27 (6d8) psychic damage and suffer the affects of slow.

4. Ensnare - The Archon targets a creature that she can see within 120ft dark chains errupt from the ground and attempt to bind them they must succeed on a DC 25 dexterity save or take 18 (4d8) radiant damage and are restrained until the end of the Archons next turn. 

5. Death - The Archon targets a creature within 120ft and speaks a word compelling a creature to die. The target must succeed on a DC 25 constitution save or take 54 (12d8) necrotic damage if this reduces their hp to 0 or they have less than 20 hp when targeted by this ability they die.

6. Enfeeblement - The Archon targets a creature within 120ft that she can see. A piercing noise rings out in their ears and ichor poors from their eyes. They must succeed on a DC 25 wisdom save on a failure they take 10 (3d6) psychic damage and are blinded and deafened for a minute they can repeat this save at the end of each of their turns and it can be removed with a remove curse spell.

Legendary Actions

The Archon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Archon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Teleport. The Archon magically teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, up to 120 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.

Utterance. The Archon uses her utterance ability.

 

Description

The Archons bear the power of the words of creation. Utterances so powerful the molded the world itself. Its their duty to protect these words and keep them secret from the mortal world. This particular Archon has been corrupted by Vecnas dark magic, and twisted to do his bidding. She now serves him willingly, working to bring about his reign to faerun and make sure he rules eternally across all realities.

 

The Archon resembles a female angel. Though their wings are made up of divine scripture and angelic writings. This particular Archon is dark and twisted. Once gleaming angelic armor blackened by malice. Her wings glow a deep crimson red, as does the holy sword she once wielded to defend the heavens. Its now permanently stained with the blood of the innocent.
