Adaptation. The Ahznagol can breathe air and water.
Resolute Stance. The Ahznagol’s will to continue fighting is inspiring for its allies. Whenever the Ahznagol makes a Strength or Constitution saving throw and succeeds, all allies within 30 ft. who can see the Ahznagol and are subjected to the same saving throw can make it with advantage.
Multiattack. The Ahznagol makes two attacks with its glaive.
Glaive. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 4) slashing damage, plus an additional 3 (1d6) cold damage. If this attack successfully hits twice on its turn, it can use Surge Strike and make one more weapon attack with this same action.
Surging Strike (Recharge 5-6). As an action, the Ahznagol
empowers their Glaive with an oceanic surge and sweeps it forward in a 15 ft. cone. All targets in the area must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw. On a failure, they are pushed 20 ft. backwards and knocked prone. If they collide with terrain, they take 6 (2d6) bludgeoning damage. If they succeed, they suffer no effects.
Drown (1/Day). The Ahznagol causes a large orb of water to surround and capture a creature that it can see within 30 feet. The creature must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw, or be restrained in the orb of water. While in the orb, the creature cannot breath air (unless it can breath underwater), and cannot use the verbal component for casting spells. The creature can reroll this saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the restrained condition on a success. Once the restrained condition is removed, the orb disappears.
