Keen Smell. The Alpha Deathclaw has advantage on Wisdom (perception) checks that rely on smell. 

Pounce. If the Alpha Deathclaw moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, the target must succeed on a DC 20 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the Alpha Deathclaw can make on bite attack as bonus action.

 

Actions

Multiattack. The Alpha Deathclaw makes two claw attacks and one bite attack.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 22 (3d8 + 7) slashing damage. 

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 28 (4d10 + 7) piercing damage.  

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the Alpha Deathclaw's choice within 60 feet of it and aware of it must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Alpha Deathclaw's Frightful Presence for the next 1 hour.

Killer Opportunist. When a creature leaves the Alpha Deathclaw's reach, the Alpha Deathclaw makes two claw attacks.

Legendary Actions

If the Alpha Deathclaw is a Legendary variant it gains the effects bellow. 

Legendary Toughness (1/Day). When the Deathclaw drops below half health, it is restored to full health and deals double damage on all attacks for 1 hour. (Double all the dice or double the base damage).

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the Alpha Deathclaw fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead. 

Legendary Actions. The Alpha Deathclaw can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and only a the end of another creature's turn. The Alpha Deathclaw regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn. 

Claw Attack (Costs 1 Actions). The Alpha Deathclaw makes one claw attack.

Savage Roar (Costs 1 Actions). The Alpha Deathclaw emits a bone-chilling roar. Each creature of its choice within 120 feet of it must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 10 minutes. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Alpha Deathclaws Savage Roar for the next hour. 

Lunge (Costs 2 Actions). The Alpha Deathclaw lunges forward up to 20 feet and makes a bite attack against a target within its reach.
