Description
Boglins are an off-shoot of the Goblin race that have adapted to live in swamps and bogs. Their skin colour ranges from mud brown to dark green, making them very adept at hiding in marshland (giving them on +2 stealth rolls in these enviroments). As a result of feet and hands being webbed, they are good swimmers but slower runners. Although they lack gills, Boglins are capable of holding their breath for up to five minutes and often employ this ability to either lie in wait for escape foes. Living deep in swamps, they rarely employ forged metal weapons, unless they have stolen them. Boglins, however, make up for this by coating their horn daggers, spears and blow pipe needles in poisons they brewed up by their Shamen from some of the nastier plants found in the swamps they call home. Like their land-based cousins, they are crafty, cowardly creatures. They favour using stealth, setting traps and attacking from areas where the terrain makes it difficult for foes to reach them.
Lair and Lair Actions
Boglins make their liars in swamps, marshes and, well, bogs. Although they will make liars in trees, mud huts and undergrowth, they prefer to live in cave systems that only accessible via narrow, water-filled tunnels which are often over a 100 feet long. Like their Goblin cousins, they riddle their homes with traps and always try to ensure they have the upper hand against any intruders.
