Illusory Spores. At the start of its turn, the Black Dahlia releases spores in a 60 ft. radius around itself. Each creature of the Dahlia's choice must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. On a success, the target is immune to the Illusory Spores for 24 hours.
On a failure, the target is consumed by an illusion created by the Dahlia. As a creature that feeds on grief, sadness, and pain, the illusions created by the Dahlia are typically those that would cause great distress in the target (a traumatic memory, a deep-seated fear, etc.). Additionally, these illusions are often violent, and the Dahlia's roots and foliage warp to give matter to danger within the illusions. If the target is attacked by a part of the illusion, the attack is treated as a Vine Lash attack from the Dahlia. The creature attacking the target within the illusion has an AC of 15, 25 HP, and shares its stats with the Black Dahlia.
At the end of each of the target's turns, the target takes 5 (2d4) psychic damage, and both the creature attacking the target in the illusion and the Black Dahlia regain the same number of hit points. Additionally, the target may repeat the Constitution saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
Multiattack. The Black Dahlia uses its Vine Lash twice.
Vine Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage.
The Dahlia uses its innate connection to the nature around it to battle foes. At the end of another creature's turn, the Dahlia may take a legendary action. It gets 3 legendary actions, which recharge at the beginning of its turn.
Vine Lash (Costs 1 Action). The Dahlia uses its Vine Lash attack on a creature within range.
Life Drain (Costs 1 Action). The Dahlia targets one creature affected by its Illusory Spores, dealing 5 (2d4) psychic damage to it and healing the same amount of HP.

Description
The Black Dahlia is a massive flower, its head stretching 12 or 13 feet across. The layered, rounded but pointed, petals give way to floating orange spores that infiltrate the Dahlia's victims. Native to naturally dark forests, the Dahlia feasts on the fear and grief of humanoids that are unlucky enough to pass through its territory.
