Immutable Form. The Statue is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.

Magic Resistance. The Statue has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Magic Weapons. The Statue's weapon attacks are magical.

Actions

Multiattack. The Statue makes two melee attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 15) slashing damage plus 7 (1d6) acid damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 17). Until this grapple ends, the Statue can bite only the grappled creature and has advantage on attack rolls to do so.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Drill. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (3d10 + 7) slashing damage.

Acid Spray (Recharge 6). The Statue spits acid in a line that is 30 feet long and 5 feet wide, provided that it has no creature grappled. Each creature in that line must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

Fashioned from gleaming bronze, this formidable statue takes the form of an Ankheg, a fearsome subterranean creature. Standing tall on its sturdy legs, each limb terminates in distinct drill-like extensions. These appendages, expertly crafted and precisely engineered, possess a spiraling form with pronounced helical grooves that run along their length. These specialized features serve a purpose beyond mere ornamentation, increasing the burrowing speed of statue beyond the natural speed of the Ankheg it mimics. These metallic extensions, meticulously forged and affixed to the statue's feet, embody the creature's natural prowess for excavation and traversal, suggesting an elemental connection to the earth and the subterranean realm it inhabits. Brought to life by arcane means the statue mimics the creature upon which it was based, while also utilizing the twisting spirals of it's front legs in devastating attacks as well.
