Pack Tactics. The beaver-shark has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the shark's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.
Amphibious. The beaver-shark can breathe on land and underwater.
Treechomper. A single beaver-shark can gnaw through 1 foot of wood in 1 minute.
Multiattack. The beaver-shark bites twice and uses Tail Slap, if it is available.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage. Also, if the attack roll hits by 5 or more, the target’s kneecaps are bitten off. Their speed is reduced by half until a [Tooltip Not Found] is cast on them. If both kneecaps are bitten off, then their speed is reduced to 0 and can’t be increased by any means.
Tail Slap (Recharge 5-6). The beaver-shark slaps its tail threateningly. Each hostile creature within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 13 CHA save or be frightened for 1 minute.
Description
Beaver-sharks are terrible creatures, created by the wizard who made owlbears and bulettes. They appear as hairy sharks with the legs and head of a beaver. Their jaws can cut through bone and wood alike, and are specialized to shear off their favorite food from their victims- kneecaps. A beaver-shark feeding frenzy is a sight that few live through, as they drag any survivors in their massive lakebed dams to devour later.
