Traits

Shapechanger. The plague-infected Parsee can use its action to polymorph into a humanoid or beast form it imagines or sees or back into its true form. Its statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed.

Innate Spellcasting. The plague-infected Parsee's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: friends, minor illusion

3/day each: charm person, disguise self

1/day each: greater invisibility, suggestion

Jealousy Aura. The plague-infected Parsee exudes an aura of jealousy that affects all creatures within 30 feet of it. While in this aura, creatures become more envious and prone to selfishness. At the start of each of their turns, creatures within the aura must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature becomes jealous and harbors feelings of resentment towards its allies. The creature has disadvantage on ability checks and saving throws made to aid or assist its allies, and it has advantage on ability checks and saving throws made to hinder or compete with them. Additionally, the creature is reluctant to take actions that directly benefit their allies, such as healing or giving up valuable resources.

Jealousy's Discord (1/day). As an action, the plague-infected Parsee can intensify the effects of its jealousy aura. Until the start of its next turn, creatures affected by the jealousy aura must make the Wisdom saving throw with disadvantage. In addition to the normal effects, the creature is compelled to attack the nearest ally it can see, using its actions and abilities to hinder or harm them.

Actions

Multiattack. The plague-infected Parsee makes two attacks: one with its Claws and one with its Jealousy Bite.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage.

Jealousy Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one willing creature, or a creature that is grappled by the plague-infected Parsee, incapacitated, or restrained. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) necrotic damage. The target's maximum hit points are reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken, and the plague-infected Parsee gains temporary hit points equal to that amount. The reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its maximum hit points to 0.

Horn Thrust. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Kick. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be pushed 10 feet away from the plague-infected Parsee.

Bonus Actions

Grudge Sign "Jealousy Storm." The plague-infected Parsee creates a swirling storm of dark energy. Each creature within a 20-foot radius centered on the plague-infected Parsee must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Master Spark "Envious Burst." The plague-infected Parsee channels a concentrated beam of envious energy. Each creature in a 60-foot line originating from the plague-infected Parsee must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Jealousy Sword "Green-Eyed Monster." The plague-infected Parsee conjures a spectral sword of jealousy and swings it at a target. Make a melee spell attack against a creature within 5 feet of the plague-infected Parsee. On a hit, the target takes 15 (3d8 + 2) psychic damage and must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target is affected by the confusion spell for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

Reactions

Parry. The knight adds 2 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the knight must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

Legendary Actions

The plague-infected Parsee can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. It can take only one legendary action at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The plague-infected Parsee regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Goad. The plague-infected Parsee targets one creature it can see within 60 feet of it. The target must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be compelled to attack the nearest creature it can see on its next turn.

Disruptive Whispers. The plague-infected Parsee whispers unsettling thoughts into the mind of one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or take 11 (2d10) psychic damage and have disadvantage on its next attack roll before the end of its next turn.

Description
