Earth Train. The elemental can burrow through nonmagical, unworked earth and stone. While doing so, the elemental doesn't disturb the material it moves through.
Siege Engine. The elemental deals double damage to objects and structures.
Innate Spellcasting. The Blorkon is an innate spellcaster in its form. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 16, +6 to hit with any spell attacks). The Blorkon has the following spells:
2/day each: Earthbind, Wall of Stone, Transmute Rock, Move Earth
3/day: Earth Tremor - cast at 4th level, range is increased to 60 ft
At will: Maximilian's Earthen Grasp - The hand's size is instead Large. It is centered on the Blorkon with a reach of 10 ft and moves along with it. When taking the action to grab a target, it can choose to grab up to 3 targets within its reach. Each target makes its initial saving throw to avoid being restrained, and any target that succeeds on their following Strength check to break out will also give other targets an opportunity to use their reaction and escape with advantage on the check.
Additionally, when the Blorkon makes a Slam attack (max once per turn), the creature(s) receive the Crush Action from the hand.
When making the Throw Boulder attack, the creature can forgo throwing a boulder and instead throw the creature(s) in its Earthen Grasp, with the standard range and attack roll listed under the attack. The creatures and the target instead both take fall damage appropriate for the distance plus an additional 2d6 bludgeoning. (For example, if they are thrown 10 feet they will take 1d6 fall damage plus an additional 2d6 bludgeoning.)
Part of a Bigger Whole. Upon being bloodied, the Blorkon can choose to split into 6 Earth Elementals, all starting at half the average HP.
Multiattack. The elemental makes two Slam attacks, a Slam and a Throw attack, or two Throw attacks.
Pulverise. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target*. Hit: 28 (4d8 + 10) bludgeoning damage.
Throw Boulder. Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 60/120 ft., one target*. Hit: 21 (2d12 + 7) bludgeoning damage.
*When making these attacks, pay attention to the special traits from its Earthen Grasp.
Stony Ward. As a reaction, the Blorkon can briefly conjure a Small stone wall from the ground which blocks incoming damage from an attack. This reduces up to 2d6 damage from a single attack.
Earthen Retribution. As a reaction, the Blorkon can attempt to reacquire a creature that has broken out of its Earthen Grasp. It can only reacquire one target in this way and will free any other creatures in its hand if it makes this reaction, regardless of if the target succeeds the save or not.
Description
The Blorkon plods forward like a walking cliff, club-like arms of jagged stone swinging at its sides. Its head and body consist of dirt and stone, occasionally set with chunks of metal, gems, and bright minerals.
Blorkons glide through rock and earth as though they were liquid. Earthbound creatures have much to fear from a Blorkon, since the elemental can pinpoint the precise location of any foe that stands on solid ground in its vicinity.
Lair and Lair Actions
Regional Effects
The region containing a Blorkon's lair is shaken, which creates one or more of the following effects:
- Tremors can be felt every 1d6 hours.
- When a tremor occurs, a spell effect such as Earth Tremor or Earthquake strikes, with a range of up to 10 miles (DM discretion) instead of the usual range.
If the Blorkon dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d4+1 days, with the effects getting weaker with each passing day.
