Traits

Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the bugbear hits with it (included in the attack).

Surprise Attack. If the bugbear surprises a creature and hits it with an attack during the first round of combat, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) damage from the attack.

Stable Breastplate. The bugbear's armor does not impose disadvantage on stealth checks.

Overpowered Legs. The bugbear may jump up to 15 feet and he does not need to move before doing so. If the bugbear is in control of a fall (like jumping, not pushed off a ledge) and lands on his feet, when rolling for fall damage, reduce the fall by 20 feet.

Actions

Multi-attack. The bugbear makes a morningstar attack and a claw attack.

Morningstar. 1 target. +5 to hit.10ft reach. (12) 2d8+3 bludgeoning damage. At the bugbear's discretion, he may also push the target 5 feet.

Javelin. 1 target. 20/60. (10) 2d6+3 piercing damage. If the target is adjacent to a wall, they become pinned by the javelin to the wall. The target is restrained. The target or another creature may use their action to pull the javelin out by making an DC 13 Strength (Athletics) check, ending the effect on a success. When they succeed, they must make  DC 13 Wisdom (Medicine) check to pull it out correctly or the target takes 1d4 damage (targets who don't bleed are immune to this). The target makes a DC 10 Constitution check at the beginning of each turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a fail, they take another 1d4. This effect also ends if the target regains health or a creature succeeds on a DC 10 Wisdom (Medicine) check.

Claw. 1 target. (10) 2d6+3 slashing damage.

Description

Accompanying the hobgoblins and goblins who were exposed to the blood of Theran, God of Order, the bugbears also had a strange transformation. Their legs and arms extended even more, and became stronger. Their legs allowed them faster, more powerful charges and mighty leaps, while their newfound claws were perfectly adapted to make more elaborate burrows.
