Fungal Telepathy. Can alert all other Infected of a presence that they can detect.
Infection. If a Humanoid creature is reduced to zero hit points by this creature, it is bitten. A bitten creature turns into a Runner Infected after 1 hour.
Super Punch. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. (Instantly hits if within 5 feet of target.)
If hits, the target is grappled. The targets jaw is ripped in half and their skull is crushed by the shear force of the hands of the Bloater Infected.
Acid Spore Throw. RangedWeapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 10/60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 46 (6d12 + 20) [acid] damage.
The Bloater Infected throws acid spores from it's body at a creature. Regardless of whether or not they hit, they leave a 5ft circle cloud of spores that makes creatures who move into, or end their turn in, take 3d8 acid damage. The cloud lasts for 10 minutes.
Description
The fungal growth on bloaters is so advanced that it begins to form armored plates on the host, while also causing the body to bloat significantly. Clusters of pods filled with mycotoxin will begin to sprout from the body, which can be ripped off and thrown by the host. The fungus also seems to offer the host some protection against the elements, such as the cold. Bloater Infected are highly dangerous. They will hunt down anything they can see, besides for other Infected. (Based on the Infected from TLOU, source from TLOU Fandom.)
