Description

Angler dragons are in no way related to true dragons. Rather, their name comes from their appearance, which is a combination of lizard and bird. Angler dragons eat bugs and vermin such as rats and snakes, although they have been known to resort to grass when desperate. They lure in prey using bioluminescent tail markings, which is where they got the “angler” part of their name from, and can spit a glowing blue fluid from glands in their mouths as a defense mechanism.

Angler dragons have an extremely efficient immune system, allowing them to quickly shrug off many poisons and making them practically immune to sicknesses.

Angler dragons are mostly covered in pitch black scales, although their wing membranes are revealed to be a dark blue in the light. They have cyan eyes that seem to glow in the dark, and their beaks are filled with small, sharp teeth.
