Unusual Nature. The Ahklut does not require air.
Multiattack. The Aklut attacks with a single bite, and lashes twice with it's tail.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (4d12 + 4) piercing damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw or be swallowed by the Ahklut. A swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the Ahklut, and it takes 21 (6d6) acid damage at the start of each of the Ahklut's turns.
If the Ahklut takes 30 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, the Ahklut must succeed on a DC 21 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of the Ahklut. If the Aklut dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse by using 20 feet of movement, exiting prone.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (4d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Description
Ahklut are terrestrial creatures inhabiting the worlds and asteroid fields of Wildspace. Resembling an Orca with powerful legs, they are often found in deep bodies of water, lying in wait for their next meal. Some are known to hibernate between meals, hidden beneath the surface for years.
When attacking, the Ahklut will always leap from hiding to gain surprise, bursting from the water with a bite attack. If attacked from multiple sides, it will use the fierce strikes of its tail to clear a path back to the safety of the water.
Ahklut are known to travel the depths of Wildspace in pods of 3-4 individuals, but they prefer the safety and resources of a living world to feed and raise young.
