No Strings Attatched. The marionette has advantage on any saving throws against effects that would place it under someone else's control. This becomes immunity if it is currently directly serving under someone.
Dual Performance. If the marionette is in the service of a warlock, it gains an additional 6 HP per every warlock level past 3rd level. Additionally, the damage of its attacks become 2d8 at 5th level, 3d8 at 11th level, and 4d8 at 17th level. Finally, the marionette gains the ability to be affected by healing spells such as Cure Wounds and Healing Word.
Facade. The marionette can swap between a dormant and awakened form at will. In its dormant form, it is indistinguishable from a normal marionette, and can be used as one, granting advantage on performance checks to the user.
String Slash. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 4) slashing damage.
Strangle. The Marionette can forgo damage on its String Slash attack to instead grapple the target. While the target is grappled by its strings, they also suffer from the restrained condition. They can end this grapple with a successful strength saving throw (DC 14). While the target is grappled, the Marionette cannot grapple or attack any other target, and its movement speed is reduced by half.
Description
Animated Marionettes are forces of chaos brought to life by evil-aligned spellcasters or deities. Certain warlocks can use these puppets as their familiar.
