Pilot Required. Roadblock requires one attuned pilot to function. Such a pilot can enter or depart Roadblock as an action. While inside Roadblock, the pilot has full cover, and can control it. Also while the pilot is in Roadblock's cockpit, it uses its pilot's scores and saving throw proficiencies for all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws.
Prismatic Crystal Reactor. Roadblock is powered by a PCR, granting it endless, raw power. When Roadblock dies, roll a D20. On a 1, its PCR explodes. Each creature and object in a 20-foot radius of Roadblock takes 52 (5d10 + 25) force damage. This damage can not be reduced in any way. A creature or object reduced to 0 hit points by this damage, including Roadblock, is disintegrated.
Arcane Ward. Roadblock has a magic defense system that can be activated to protect itself, or deactivated to regenerate. The ward has a health pool of 23. These are temporary hit points. The ward can be activated as an action, or deactivated as a bonus action. At the start of Roadblocks's turn, if the Arcane Ward is deactivated, the Arcane Ward regains 6 (1d6 + 3) temporary hit points.
Heavily Armored. Blockblock has disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.
Powerlifter. Roadblock counts as one size larger when making Strength (Athletics) checks.
Multiattack. Roadblock makes two fist attacks or one fist attack and one power claw attack.
Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage.
Power Claw (Recharge 6). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target Hit: The target is grappled. Medium or smaller creatures have disadvantage on escaping the grapple.
You can use an action on each of your consectutive turns to automatically deal 27 (4d10 + 5) piercing damage to the grappled creature or 45 piercing damage if it is an object.
Flamer (Recharge 5-6). A line of roaring flame 30 feet long and 5 feet wide emanates from Roadblock in a direction you choose. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 3d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The fire ignites any flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
Ward. When a creature that you can see within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to cause your Arcane Ward to absorb that damage. If this damage reduces the ward to 0 hit points, the warded creature takes any remaining damage.
You can only use this reaction if your Arcane Ward is active.
Description
Roadblock is a Juggernaut-class AMS. Although slower than other AMS classes, Juggernauts pack a mean punch and are found commonly at major contruction sites, or other civil projects. Their Arcane Ward is capable of protecting them from work-related accidents, as well as protecting their fellow workers who may not be so fortunate as to have an AMS of their own. Although originally designed for heavy lifting, Juggernauts are sought after for their defensive capabilities in war. Such war machines are commonly eqipped with a powerful flamer to scorch enemies.
"AMS" stands for Arcane Mech Suit. They are powered by Prismatic Crystals, of which can explode should the reactor containing them suffer extreme damage, and were originally developed by Overlord Industries. There are currently five known AMS classes: Brawler, Engineer, Juggernaut, Overseer, and Warlord.
