Traits
  • Chameleon Carapace. As a bonus action, the Focaldralk can change the color of it's carapace to match the color and texture of it's surroundings, giving itself advantage on Stealth checks made to hide in those surroundings.
  • Innate Spellcasting. The Focaldralk's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 13). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components: 

2/day each: Absorb Elements, Detect Magic, Hunter's Mark

  •  Hold Breath. The Focaldralk can hold it's breath for up to 30 minutes at a time.
  • Secondary Arms. The Focaldralk has two slightly smaller secondary arms below it's primary pair of arms. The secondary arms can manipulate an object, open or close a door or container, pick up or set down a Tiny object, or wield a weapon that has the light property.
  • Sleepless. The Focaldralk doesn't require sleep and can choose to remain conscious during a long rest, though it must still refrain from strenuous activity to gain the benefit of the rest.
  • Focaldralk Subspecies. Choose a subspecies of Focaldralk, each granting an additional feature:

Green Focaldralk: Ambusher: The Focaldralk adds 1d10 damage to any melee attack made against a Surprised or Prone creature and also adds the Invisibility spell to it's Innate Spellcasting trait.

Blue Focaldralk: AggressiveThe Focaldralk may, as a bonus action, move up to half it's speed toward a hostile creature it can see and make one melee attack against it. 

Red Focaldralk: Fire AspectThe Focaldralk has resistance to fire damage and adds the following spells to it's Innate Spellcasting Trait:

Fire Bolt (Cantrip), Burning Hands (3/day), Fireball (1/day)                                                                                                  

Deep Focaldralk: Dark One's FortuneThe Focaldralk's Darkvision is increased to 150ft. and adds the following spells to it's Innate Spellcasting trait:

Chill Touch(Cantrip), Darkness (2/day), Shadow Blade (1/day)

Multiattack. The Focaldralk makes two attacks: choosing from either it's claws or wrist blades. 

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage.

Wrist Blade. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (1d12 + 3) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.

Acid Breath. (Recharge 6) The Focaldralk exhales acid in a 15ft. cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 42 (12d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
