Description
Appearence.
Azathoth looks like a 30 feets tall black ooze that continuosly boils. At the center of the body it can be seen (with lot of fantasy) a contorted mouth and two eye sockets. At the top of its stretched body is located a serpent skull that control the entire being. Below the skull, on its sides, two slimy arms extend.
The First of All.
The stories tell that Azathoth was the first ever existing god that ruled all over the entire multiverse. The supreme god Ao, aeons ago, defeated it in order to create the material plane. But Azathoth cannot be killed.
Reduce to an insignificant fraction of its power, it tries to recover its lost power, but to become as strong as it was, it has to wait thousand of thousands of aeons.
Before that it can complete its recovering, a group of powerful wizard subjugated its power binding the soul of their deceised comrade to Azathoth.
Pure Rage.
Without its divine powers, Azathoth is a bit more intelligente that an ooze, just enough to feel the desire of vengeance for Ao and the need to recover its power. In this state it attacks and destroys everything that it sees.
The wizard that has binded with Azathoth control the monster with the serpent skull located at the top of the body. And if someone ask his name he will answer "Azathoth" to hide its identity. The wizard's soul is located inside that skull and if it ever breaks the god will become free again.
