Description
The Shadowglider is a majestic and enigmatic creature, a harmonious blend of avian and reptilian traits, perfected through genetic experimentation in the city of Aerinthia. It was created by combining griffons with giant owls and velociraptors. Although it is just one of the many Aerinthian synthetic beasts, it has become the most iconic due to it's unmatched loyalty, it's arial dexterity, and it's incredible night vision. These features allowed the Aerinthians to cross great distances day or night.
Its body is compact and streamlined, adorned with smooth, iridescent scales that shimmer in mesmerizing colors when touched by light. With a slightly elongated torso supporting powerful wing muscles, it possesses two large, eagle-like wings, cloaked in an array of dazzling feathers, enabling it to glide through the air with near-silent grace. Its neck coated with a mane of feathers for protection and aerodynamics. Its powerful, elongated reptilian snout, housing sharp, beak-like jaws. It has large, expressive eyes that possess exceptional night vision capabilities. The Shadowglider embodies both the elegance of an avian and the mystique of a nocturnal predator, making it a perfect mount and companion for the Veiled Sentinels of Aerinthia.

Posted Jul 28, 2023Hello! This is my first ever monster! designed to pull the best parts of velociraptors, owls, and griffons into a new creature for my homebrew campaign! Let me know your thoughts or ways that I could improve it! Also, I did my best to determine the Challenge Rating but I'm not 100% certain if it should be 3 or a step higher or lower. Certainly open to criticism!
