Amphibious. The carnivorous ship can breathe air and water.
Grappler. The ship has advantage on attack rolls against any creature grappled by it.
Multiattack. The ship makes two rope tentacle attacks, each of which it can replace with one use of Fling.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage.
Rope Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 30 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 14). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained. The ship has three rope tentacles, each of which can grapple one target.
Fling. One Large or smaller object held or creature grappled by the ship is thrown up to 60 feet in a random direction and knocked prone. If a thrown target strikes a solid surface, the target takes 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it was thrown. If the target is thrown at another creature, that creature must succeed on a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or take the same damage and be knocked prone.
The ship can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The ship regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Rope Tentacle Attack or Fling. The ship makes one rope tentacle attack or uses its Fling.
Spit Cannonballs. The ship spits cannonball-like lumps of indigestible metal at up to two points it can see within 50 feet of it. Each creature within 5 feet of a point must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 18 (4d8) slashing damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Surge. The ship moves up to 100 feet in a straight line and can move through Huge and smaller objects as if they were difficult terrain. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks. If it moves through a Huge or smaller object, the object takes 55 (10d10) bludgeoning damage. If it moves through a ship, the ship’s pilot can make a DC 14 Wisdom check using navigator’s tools, halving the damage on a success.
