Spellcasting. Zyk is a 7th-level spellcaster. His spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 15, +8 to hit with spell attacks). Zyk has following druid spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): Druidcraft, Guidance, Produce Flame
1st level (4 slots): Chill Touch, Find Familiar, Fog Cloud, Healing Word
2nd level (3 slots): Blindness/Deafness, Gentle Repose
3rd level (3 slots): Animate Dead, Conjure Animals, Gaseous Form
4th level (1 slots): Blight, Confusion, Conjure Woodland Beings, Hallucinatory Terrain, Polymorph
Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 1) piercing damage.
Darts. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 20/60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (1d4 + 1) piercing damage.
Produce Flame. Ranged Spell Attack: +8 to hit, range 30 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (2d8) fire damage.
Wild Shape. You can use your action to magically assume the shape of a beast that you have seen before with a CR of 1/2 or lower that does not have a flying speed. You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.
Symbiotic Entity. As an action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to awaken those spores, rather than transforming into a beast form, and you gain 4 temporary hit points for each level you have in this class. While this feature is active, you gain the following benefits:
- When you deal your Halo of Spores damage, roll the damage die a second time and add it to the total.
- Your melee weapon attacks deal an extra 1d6 necrotic damage to any target they hit.
Halo of Spores. You are surrounded by invisible, necrotic spores that are harmless until you unleash them on a creature nearby. When a creature you can see moves into a space within 10 feet of you or starts its turn there, you can use your reaction to deal 1d6 necrotic damage to that creature unless it succeeds on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC.
Fungal Infestation. Your spores gain the ability to infest a corpse and animate it. If a beast or a humanoid that is Small or Medium dies within 10 feet of you, you can use your reaction to animate it, causing it to stand up immediately with 1 hit point. The creature uses the zombie stat block. It remains for 1 hour, after which it collapses and dies.
Description
Zyk the Lackadaisical began with the Druids of Moon's Vale but upon coming of age, Zyk participated in the Rite of Choice, the druid's version of Rumspringa. After experiencing the world outside of Moon's Vale, Zyk decided to gather his belongings and travel for Sharpton, the capital of Tirmorwyn. With his freedom, he became a charlatan among the locals, using flattery to get what he wants alongside sarcasm and insults as a weapon of choice.
Zyk always entertains the idea of an odd job here or there to make his living, even when it angers the Council's Guard. To avoid too many run-ins with the Council's Guard, Zyk typically resides in the Marina Ward of Sharpton, teasing Sharpton's citizens with illusions and a particular plant that spits a harmless slime on passers-by.
When Zyk is angered, his appearance is altered. Spores grow uncontrollably from his skin which only enrages him more. The target of his frustration would cower in fear.
