Actions

Multiattack. Barbados makes three attacks: two with his cutlass and one with his pistol.

Cutlass. Melee Weapon Attack: +10{"diceNotation":"1d20+10","rollType":"to hit","rollAction":""cutlass"} to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 [rollable](2d8 + 4) slashing damage plus 14 (4d6) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.

Barbossa's Pistol. Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 10 (3d6) cold damage. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Bonus Actions

Summon Crew (Recharge 3). Barbados summons 1d4+2 undead pirate crew members within 60 feet. These crew members obey Barbosa the Undead Captain's commands and act on his initiative count.

Reactions

Parry. Barbados adds 5 to his AC against one melee attack that would hit him. To do so, Barbados must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

Legendary Actions

The frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a target’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to Barbosa the Undead Captain's gaze for the next 24 hours.

Disrupt Life (Costs 3 Actions). Each non-undead creature within 20 feet of Barbosa the Undead Captain must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw against this magic, taking 21 (6d6) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
