Innate Spellcasting. The alranue's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 11). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: druidcraft, goodberry, thorn whip
Commune with Animals and Plants. The alraune can communicate with animals with less than 4 Intelligence and all plants as if they shared a language.
Earthbound. The alraune ignores non-magical difficult terrain. Additionally, the alraune does not need to eat, drink, or breathe.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d4+1) bludgeoning damage.
Silence (2/day, after hitting with Slam). By placing her hand on a creature's mouth and uttering a magic phrase, the creature cannot speak or communicate via telepathy for 1 day. This effect is dispelled if the alraune is incapacitated.
Description
Alraunes are a subspecies of fey that are eternally bound to the earth. Made of dirt, mud, and wild grasses, alraunes move lazily across the topsoil as if they were swimming on its surface. Alraune live in artistic communes on sites of overwhelming despair, such as dormant battlegrounds and mass graves.
Low-Key. Alraunes are distant cousins of the pixies and sprites, the latter looking upon the alraunes with disgust. Alraunes live relaxed, non-regimented lives that are devoted to creating art, which puts them at odds against their more militant relatives. Alranues are masterful weavers, and garments made by alraunes are often laced with minor enchantments. Alraunes are enthralling storytellers as well, and alraune poetry is highly regarded in Sylvan-speaking circles.
