Ioun Stone of Mastery. Your proficiency bonus increases by 1 while this pale green prism orbits your head.
Bracers of Defense. While wearing these bracers, you gain a +2 bonus to AC if you are wearing no armor and using no shield.
Robes of Storm Resistance. You have resistance to Lightning and Thunder damage.
Boon of Immortality. You stop aging. You are immune to any effect that would age you, and you can’t die from old age.
Boon of Recovery. You can use a bonus action to regain a number of hit points equal to half your hit point maximum. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Unarmored Defense. While the monk is wearing no armor and wielding no shield, its AC includes its Wisdom modifier.
Ki Points. The Avatar of Sardior starts with 15 available Ki Points.
Multiattack. The Avatar of Sardior makes three Gemstar Rings Strike.
Gemstar Rings Strike. Unarmed Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage plus 7 (2d6) psychic damage. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with this attack, apply one of the effects below.
- Emerald Ember Fist. (Recharge 5-6) The target must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or the target is lit on fire by this attack and takes 3d6 fire damage at the start of each turn until extinguished with an action.
- Sapphire Telekinetic Fist (Recharge 5-6). The target must make a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be thrown back 60 ft. in a straight line and takes an additional 11 (3d6) force damage. If the target hits a solid object before 60 ft., the force damage is doubled.
- Topaz Draining Fist. (Recharge 4-6) The target must make a DC 18 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is weakened until the end of its next turn and the Avatar of Sardior regains 6 (1d4 + 4) ki points. A weakened creature has disadvantage on Strength-based ability checks and Strength saving throws, and the creature’s weapon attacks that rely on Strength deal half damage.
- Crystal Starlight Fist of Ultimate Bursting (Recharge 6). The target must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or the target is permanently blinded and takes an additional 6d6 radiant damage.
- Amethyst Exploding Fist (Recharge 5-6). Deals an additional 4d6 force damage and every creature within 20 ft. of the target must make a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be pushed back 10 ft. and be knocked prone.
Sparkle Breath (Recharge 5–6). The Avatar of Sardior releases a searing beam of starlight at a creature that it can see within 60 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take 21 (6d6) radiant damage.
x4 Beads of Force (Crystal Necklace). Use Magic Item. This small crystal sphere measures 3/4 of an inch in diameter and weighs an ounce. Typically, 1d4 + 4 beads of force are found together.
You can use an action to throw the bead up to 60 feet. The bead explodes on impact and is destroyed. Each creature within a 10-foot radius of where the bead landed must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 5d4 force damage. A sphere of transparent force then encloses the area for 1 minute. Any creature that failed the save and is completely within the area is trapped inside this sphere. Creatures that succeeded on the save, or are partially within the area, are pushed away from the center of the sphere until they are no longer inside it. Only breathable air can pass through the sphere's wall. No attack or other effect can.
An enclosed creature can use its action to push against the sphere's wall, moving the sphere up to half the creature's walking speed. The sphere can be picked up, and its magic causes it to weigh only 1 pound, regardless of the weight of creatures inside.
Psychic Step. The Avatar of Sordior magically teleports to an unoccupied space it can see within 15 feet of it.
Ki Barrier. The Avatar of Sardior uses their Ki points to create a barrier of 48(15d6) temporary hit points around themselves.
Deflect Missiles. You can use your reaction to deflect or catch the missile when you are hit by a ranged weapon attack. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 26 (1d10 + 20)
If you reduce the damage to 0, you can catch the missile if it is small enough for you to hold in one hand and you have at least one hand free. If you catch a missile in this way, you can spend 1 ki point to make a ranged attack with the weapon or piece of ammunition you just caught, as part of the same reaction. You make this attack with proficiency, regardless of your weapon proficiencies, and the missile counts as a monk weapon for the attack, which has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
The Avatar of Sordior can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Avatar of Sordior regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Gemstar. The Avatar of Sordior makes one Gemstar Ring Strike attack.
Psionics (Costs 2 Actions). The Avatar of Sordior uses Psychic Step and gains an additional reaction until the start of their next turn.
Dragon Call (Costs 3 Actions) (Recharge 5-6). The Avatar of Sordior calls their Dragon to strafe a target area or creature with their Breath Weapon.
Description
The Avatar of Sordior stands nearly 7 ft. tall with scales of five-colored scintillating gemstones and gleaming plate armor made of Mithral. One of five avatars, they typically bond with a Young or Adult Dragon and become fearsome Dragon Riders.
An Avatar of Sordior undergoes the Rite of Gems, seeking out an Ancient Dragon of the five Gemstone Dragon types: Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz, Crystal, and Amethyst, and collecting a single scale from each. Once complete they forge the Gemstar, a magical morningstar made from the fused scales that contain the power of all five Dragons. Each Gemstar ability is unique to the user. When the Rite is complete, they become true Avatars of Sordior and gain the Boon of Immortality, preventing them from dying outside of glorious combat (mostly) and another boon, unique to that avatar.
