Description

The Night Hunter Bat, known as Dragazhar, is a fearsome and relentless predator of the night. It earned its name from the legendary adventurer who was the first to domesticate one, although domestication remains a rare and dangerous feat. Dragazhars are primarily nocturnal, active during the night on the surface world and equally at ease in the gloom of the underworld. They possess infravision that extends up to 120 feet, aiding them in their night-time hunts.

These creatures are skilled ambushers, often stalking their prey from the shadows and attacking from unexpected angles. They rely on their sharp bite, wing claws, and razor-sharp triangular tails to take down their victims. While their primary diet consists of small beasts, they may resort to eating carrion if necessary, but desperate dragazhars have been known to attack livestock, drow, or even humans.

The lairs of Night Hunter Bats typically contain over 30 creatures. They prefer to live in double-ended caves or above ground in tall, dense woods where they can find ample cover and hiding spots. The lairs often contain treasures that were dropped or left behind by prey that the dragazhars carried back to their homes. When resting or sleeping, these creatures roost head-down, ready to take flight at a moment's notice.

Despite their violent and predatory nature, Night Hunter Bats possess a certain beauty. They have a velvety hue that extends even to their claws, and their eyes are vibrant in colors like violet, orange, or red. Their ferocity and fearlessness make them dangerous opponents, and encountering them is a harrowing experience for those unlucky enough to cross paths with these elusive and deadly hunters.
