Keen Hearing and Smell. The Trico has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Summon. If any of Trico's allies call Trico, he will make it his top priority to get to the person who called him. This doesn't take effect if Trico is out of hearing distance.
Quick Catch. If an ally jumps near Trico and is out of reach of safe ground, or is about to fall, Trico will make two attempts to grab the person like he would if he took the swallow action. If both attempts fail he will make one last attempt to catch the person with his tail.
Multiattack. Trico makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (3d8 + 8) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (3d10 + 8) slashing damage.
Lightning Tail (Recharge 5–6). Trico shoots lightning from its tail in a 90-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 31 (4d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This action can also be activated as a bonus action using a Onyx shield
Swallow. Trico makes one bite attack against a small or medium creature it is grappling. If the attack hits that creature takes bites damage and is swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed the creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the Trico, and it takes 22 (3d10 +2) acid damage at the start of each of Trico's turns
If Trico takes 30 or more damage on a single turn from a creature inside of it, Trico must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw at the end of the turn or regurgitate any swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of Trico. If Trico dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse by using 15 feet of movement, exerting prone.
Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (3d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
Trampling Charge. If the Trico moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a stomp attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked [condition/]prone[condition]. If the target is [condition/]prone[condition], the Trico can make another attack with its claws against it as a bonus action.
Stomp. If an enemy that is the same size or smaller than Trico ends its turn within 5 feet of Trico, it can take a reaction to make two Stomp attacks.
Hop Parry. The Trico adds 2 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the Trico must see the attacker. If the attack misses, the Trico can make a
Description
Trico is a large, hybridized beast with the face of a dog, the ears, body and tail of a cat, and the beak, wings, feathers of a bird. It also sports a pair of horns on its head. Its feathers are a grayish blue with darker feathers on its tail, wings, and nose, while having lighter feathers on its face. The beast's eyes change colors depending on its mood. Its huge eyes shine pink when aggressive or angry, glow white when excited or interested, are yellow when it sees food, and when its eyes are dark green, Trico is calm and friendly. Its pupils will contract greatly when the creature is satisfied when being fed, closely resembling a more human eye. Trico is a creature one would do best not to make an enemy off. If threatened, Trico goes into a bloodthirsty rage, destroying said threat with vigor. Even if Trico is outmatched, the beast will still throw itself into the fray, fighting until either killed or knocked unconscious.
