Traits

Love for the Chase. If a creature disengages or flees from the Vahki Bordakh, the Vahki gains a +10 ft. speed bonus until the end of its next turn.

Aquatic Adaptation. The Vahki Bordakh move underwater and has a swim speed of 30 ft.

Actions

Multi-Attack. The Vahki makes two attacks: two with its slam, or one with its slam and one with its Staff of Suggestion, or one with its Binding Shot.

Staff of Loyalty (Recharge 5-6). Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) psychic damage and the target becomes charmed by the Vahki Bordakh for 1 minute. While charmed, the target considers the Vahki Bordakh an ally and will not attack it.

Binding Shot (Recharge 5-6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 60/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Bonus Actions

Biped-Quadruped Transformation. As a bonus action, the Vahki can switch between its biped and quadruped forms. In quadruped form, it gains a +10 ft. speed bonus but has disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws.

Description

In the labyrinthine waterways of Ga-Metru, the Vahki Bordakh reign supreme. Unlike their brethren, these constructs are masters of aquatic movement, yet they find greater pleasure in the pursuit on dry land. The Bordakh revel in the chase, and it's not uncommon for them to give their targets a head start, turning the act of law enforcement into a thrilling sport. Their Staffs of Loyalty ensure that once they've marked you, you can never be certain who amongst the crowd is a friend or a foe—a watcher or a watched.
