Collector: Each successful attack against the cave bagworm (a) decreases its bonus to hit by 1, down to a minimum of 0 and (b) reduces its AC by 1, down to a minimum of 11.
Multiattack. The cave bagworm makes two attacks: one with its stinging hairs and one with its tail.
Stinging Hairs. The target must succeed on a DC13 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 7 (2d6) poison damage and must repeat the saving throw at the start of each of its turns. It takes 7 (2d6) damage on each turn until a successful save. On a successful save upon being attacked, the creature takes half damage and isn't poisoned.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) piercing damage.
Description
The cave bagworm collects various pieces of metal - shields, armor, swords, jewelry - and adheres them to its body, starting from the tail. This will eventually serve as its cocoon. While in its caterpillar form, the collection of metal serves as both camouflage and as armor. Often, the creature will appear to be a pile of old armor lying on the floor of a cave.
As the bagworm is attacked, pieces of the armor can be knocked off its tail, resulting in a lower AC and a reduced hit bonus - as now there are less swords, shields, and other things to aid the creature.
