Traits

Anti-Magic Shell. The Alkada is immune to spells and magical effects within a few inches of its skin. This includes the additional magical effects of magic weapons, but not the physical damage they deal. When using Wild Magic, the Wingless Wonder becomes vulnerable to all forms of magic, including the effects of magic weapons, until the start of its next turn..

Wild Magic. Once per day, the Alkada can produce a random magical effect similar to a wand of wonder. During this time, its Anti-Magic Shell becomes visible and it becomes vulnerable to magic until the start of its next turn.

Mind Bar. The Alkada is immune to psychic damage, and any effect that would read its emotions or thoughts.

Regeneration. The Alkada regains 5 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point.

Fire Immunity. The Wingless Wonder is, for some unknown reason, completely immune to fire damage.

Actions

Multiattack: Makes two tentacle attacks.

Tentacle: Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.

Dying Scream: When reduced to 0 hit points, emits a psionic scream in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 12 Intelligence saving throw, taking 13 (3d6) psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

Alkada (Wingless Wonder)

A creature of enigma and paradox, the Alkada defies the very laws of magic and nature.

The Alkada, commonly known as the Wingless Wonder, appears as a walking egg with waddling legs and stubby arms. Its skin is a delicate blue-green, covered in a soft fuzz. Despite its seemingly vulnerable appearance, the creature emanates an Anti-Magic Shell, rendering it immune to most magical effects.

Equally baffling is its Wild Magic trait, allowing it to produce random magical effects once per day. During this brief moment, its Anti-Magic Shell flickers, making it vulnerable to magic until the start of its next turn.

Though lacking in intelligence, the Alkada is not to be underestimated. Its tentacles are adept at grasping and piercing, and its dying scream can unleash a devastating psionic blast.
