Collective Swarm: Whenever rolling for initiative, roll with disadvantage. The initiative roll represents the entire initiative for all Bondleweeds. The same can typically be said for their health. Think of them like a swarm that all move on the same turn.
Cannon Fodder: Anytime a Bondleweed is reduced to 0 hp from a melee weapon attack, the leftover damage from the attack can be redirected to another Bondleweed within 5ft. This feature is made to allow melee fighters to actually be able to handle swarms just so the DM can have the excuse to toss even more Bondleweeds.
Assembly Required. Bondleweeds have the ability to build upon each other. Bondleweeds can create large tower stacks that allow them to attack hard to reach enemies that take cover on high terrain or choose to fly high above. Each Bondleweed will count as 5ft of stacking distance just to make the DM's life easier.
Lifeforce Basis. A Bondleweed can not have a max hp lower than 1 hp.
Bonk. Melee Weapon Attack: -1 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 (1d4-1) bludgeoning damage.
Smash. Roll d20-1 within 5ft of a creature. Deal [number of Bondleweeds within 5ft of creature] bludgeoning damage to that creature.
Description
Very weak small fry but you can toss thousands of them for fun from all directions without it needing to be a swarm type monster. They are formed from the dead remains of undead that still carry some necrotic energy. Can be created from dead matter in the cheapest forms. They tend to be mindless undead that will pile and move toward whatever that lives and destroy it. They have the capability to move in large stacks that allow them to from bridges or towers of bones that allow them to reach any enemy given enough time.
