Acidic DragonTouch. The dracoflesherr's undead flesh secrete a potent acid, which is capable of melting through armor and weapons. Any non-magical weapon made of metal or wood that hits the dracoflesher becomes corroded. After dealing it's damage, the weapon takes a permanent and cumulative -1 penalty to damage rolls. If it's penalty drops to -5, the weapon is destroyed. When weapon ammunition that is non-magical that is made of metal or wood hits the beholder, it is destroyed after dealing its damage. Additionally, Magical weapons made of wood or metal that are not Legendary or Artifact have a 10% chance of being affected by this as well. If they are affected, they instead lose one enchantment per hit determined randomly. These losses to magic items can be restored using a lesser restoration spell per ability lost.

Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the dracoflesher drops to 1 hit point instead.

Actions

Acidic Fog. Standard Action creates 30-foot-radius sphere of acidic fog that is centered on the dracoflesher. The sphere spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured. Acidic Fog lasts for 1 minute or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it. At the beginning of the Dracoflesher's turn if any creatures other than Dracoflesher are in the fog, they take (2d6) acid damage.

Multiattack. The dracoflesher can either use its Acid Fog ability or attack with its bite or tail. It then can attack with up to three Eye Ray attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (4d6) piercing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8) bludgeoning damage.

Eye Rays. The dracoflesher shoots three of the following magical eye rays at random (re-roll duplicates), choosing one to three targets it can see within 120 feet of it:

  1. Paralyzing Ray. The targeted creature must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

  2. Frightful Presence Ray. The targeted creature must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

  3. Acid Breath Ray. The targeted creature must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 36 (8d8) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

  4. Petrification Ray. The targeted creature must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature begins to turn to stone and is restrained. It must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a failure, the creature is petrified until freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic.

  5. Disintegration Ray. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take 45 (10d8) force damage. If this damage reduces the creature to 0 hit points, its body becomes a pile of fine gray dust.

If the target is a Large or smaller nonmagical object or creation of magical force, it is disintegrated without a saving throw. If the target is a Huge or larger object or creation of magical force, this ray disintegrates a 10-foot cube of it.

  6. Death Ray. The targeted creature must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take 55 (10d10) necrotic damage. The target dies if the ray reduces it to 0 hit points.

Legendary Actions

The dracoflesher can take 3 legendary actions, using the Eye Ray option below. It can take only one legendary action at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The dracoflesher regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Eye Ray. The dracoflesher uses one random eye ray.

Tail. The dracoflesher makes a tail attack.

Description

These are beholders that have been magically mutated and twisted into horrific draconic  undead abominations.

Dark Servants. Sinister necromantic magic infuses the remains of the dead, causing them to rise as undead creatures that do their creator’s bidding without fear or hesitation. They move with a jerky, uneven gait, clad in the moldering apparel they wore when put to rest, and carrying the stench of decay.

Most of these are made from dragon and beholder remains, though the flesh and bones of any formerly living creature can be imbued with a semblance of life. Necromantic magic, usually from spells, animates a undead dracoflesher. Some of these rise spontaneously when dark magic saturates an area. Once turned into a dracoflesher, a creature can’t be restored to life except by powerful magic, such as a resurrection spell.

A dracoflesher retains no understanding or memories of its former self, its mind devoid of thought and imagination. When left without orders it will simply stand in place and rot unless something comes along that it can kill. The magic animating this creature imbues it with evil, so left without purpose, it attacks any living creature it encounters.

Mindless Killers. These undead take the most direct route to any foe, unable to comprehend obstacles, tactics, or dangerous terrain. A dracoflesher might stumble into a fast-flowing river to reach foes on a far shore, clawing at the surface as it is battered against rocks and destroyed.

A dracoflesher can follow simple orders and distinguish friends from foes, but its ability to reason is limited to shambling in whatever direction it is pointed, destroying any enemy in its path.

Undead Nature. A dracoflesher doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.
