Multiattack: The Aubark makes a Tree attack, then casts a spell.

The Aubark can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Aubark regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Shimmering Shield(Cost 2 Actions): The Aubark creates a shimmering, magical field around itself and up to two other creatures it can see within 120ft of it. The Aubark and its targets gain a +5 bonus to AC until the end of the Aubark's next turn.
Heal Self(Cost 3 Actions): The Aubark magically regains 33(6d8+6) hit points.
Description
A Smiling Guardian. The Aubark, though rarely seen, is a constant presence over forests of Rhymorra. The Aubark watches over the trees that are so much smaller than it that it wears two trees on its head as horns. Its job is a thankless one, with no humanoid willing to attribute the safety of a forest to an inscrutable monster, especially given its inability to communicate with ordinary folk. It spends its days invisible and largely motionless, eating and drinking nothing, barely breathing, barely feeling its twinned heartbeat within its chest... and yet it is satisfied. It is happy.
A Life Lost, a Life Found. The Aubark was a fallen celestial, its powers stripped and its chest torn open, that fell upon a forest with such force as to create a valley. Elowen, a goddess, nursed the celestial back to health, enlisting her Shroomfolk to heal its wounds. Some Shroomfolk became jealous of the celestial and carved open its face while the others were away. In a rage, Elowen slew these Shroomfolk and fused their hearts with the celestial's. The celestial was transformed in the process, losing its personality, its memories, its identity - and with the vast amount of Shroomfolk, it grew vast. Devastated by this transformation, and at the loss of so many of her creations, Elowen mysteriously vanished and left the Aubark to guard the forests in her absence. The Aubark obeys to this day.
Lair and Lair Actions
Regional Effects
The Aubark is notoriously elusive for its size. Gifted with fey magic, it can make its way through forests without making a sound or allowing itself to be seen by mortal eyes. It is not impossible to find, however, as the closer one draws to the Aubark, the more pronounced its effects on Rhymorra...
- Intelligent creatures cannot help but smile. Sometimes it hurts their jaws.
- Birds flock to the shoulders of travelers, singing.
- Leaves fall upwards in the sky.
