Description
A spiker is a terrible creature native to Avernus, they look like spiders with the ferocious claws of a scorpion, and the armor of a huge spiked crustacean, and have enough resources to take down creatures twice their size in less than a minute.
They live in the few caves and trenches in the vast waste, an ambush predators who attacks maliciously any creature in their territory with powerful claws and venom, normally avoid the attention of the locals but is common to hear that attack outsiders and demons who reach the plane and lost in the wastes.
Adults mate for life and raise the younger ones until they reach maturity, after that they are considered competitors and cannibalism is common among spikers.
Spiker silk is appreciated by the devils who use it to create magic clothes and ropes of entanglement and their exoskeleton to craft armor that retains the teleporting capability of the creature.
