Traits

Darxktheolith Tag. The Amjdaqheo has the "(darxktheolith)" creature subtype, which acts the same way it would affect a creature than any other creature subtype.

Abyssal Void Resistance. The Amjdaqheo has advantage on saving throws against being stunned, knocked prone, frightened and incapacitated.

Hold Breath. The amjdaqheo can hold its breath for 1 hour.

Actions

Multiattack. The amjdaqheo makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail. It can replace any of them with a clawed paw attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (6d4 + 6) piercing damage + 7 (2d6) necrotic damage, and the target has its hit point maximum decreased by the amount of necrotic damage dealt and is grappled (escape DC 17). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the Amjdaqheo can't bite another target.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target not grappled by the amjdaqheo. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage + 4 (1d8) force damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Clawed Paw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (3d8 + 6) slashing damage + 2 (1d4) force damage.

Soul Devour (Once per Short or Long Rest). One creature grappled by the Amjdaqheo must make a DC 19 Constitution saving throw, taking 27 (11d4) necrotic damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a success. The creature has its hit point maximum decreased by the amount of necrotic damage dealt, which Fiends have resistance to. If the creature has its hit point maximum reduced to 0 by this damage, the creature's soul is devoured by the amjdaqheo and the creature's body deteriorates into nothing more than a colorless, barely fatty husk of the creature's original body, killing it instantly. The creature's soul remains in the stomach of the amjdaqheo for 1d4 days, after which it is permanently consumed by the darkness of the Shard of True Evil and ceases to exist, unless if Tharizdun for some reason frees the soul from the shard and turns it into a fiend.

Description

Darxktheoliths are incredibly powerful fiends are what the people of MTG consider normal demons, but they are something else entirely. They live in the Howling Void, a blackened realm beneath the normal 666 layers of the Abyss, where the Darxktheoliths lurk in semi-spiritual forms. However, once these creatures are summoned to another plane of existence that isn’t the Abyss, they take on a fully physical form and do whatever the hell they want. Just like demons and devils that are the result of mainly humanoid souls being condemned to the depths of the Abyss or Nine Hells, darxktheoliths are the result of certain souls being transformed. More specifically, when a semi-immortal being (such as a celestial, certain monstrosities, extremely long-lived undead like a lich, or a long-lived dragon) finally dies that is extremely chaotically evil, its soul heads to be transferred to one of the Lower Planes. While most of these souls end up in other Lower Planes and become empowered fiends or something similar, those that end up in the deepest depths of the Abyss have their souls slowly and entirely consumed by the all-invading darkness, plunging the soul into madness and transforming them into a being of pure evil, aka a darxktheolith. Darxktheoliths have no interest in the matters of the Blood War or of any other planar conflict. Instead, they simply observe the ensuing chaos as entertainment for themselves when they get bored, and due to their status as being higher in power than pretty much all other fiends, they tend to influence the war in more ways than one.

Amjdaqheo are some of the most bestial of the darxktheoliths. Standing at an average height of 8 feet and being, on average, 25 feet long, they are often mistaken for Ammits by beings that happen to summon them, and it is believed that amjdaqheos either descended from or are the descendants of actual ammits. Though their are texts speaking of evidence for both claims, no one knows for sure. What is definitely true is that amjdaqheos are some of the most aggressive and monstrous of all darxktheoliths, destroying whatever they want whenever they want. Due to this destructive behavior, many even experienced scholars believe that amjdaqheos are some sort of race of mutated demon. However, that is not the case, as amjdaqheos do follow what they consider as their own rules and will abide to lawful things such as promises and pacts. However, even when dealing with such things, they are still very fickle about it, and if a certain pact or promise is made with one of them and they happen to not really like the dealings of such a promise, they will be more than happy to break that promise basically whenever. These bestial darxktheoliths are believed to be the living factories of the Howling Void, occasionally killing potential victims to be permanently enslaved and shackled to the existence of the place. Souls devoured by amjdaqheos are sent straight to the deepest depths of the Shard of True Evil, to which the primal evol overgod Tharizdun is shackled to. It is believed that each soul, whether mortal or not, that is sent into the Shard empowers Tharizdun even more, possibly eventually allowing him to escape and hatch whatever horrific plans he has for the multiverse.
