Improvised Weapons. After centuries of practice with household items, even the dimmest of folk could handle them with unreal skill. The servant has proficiency with improvised weapons. These weapons deal 1d6 damage and have the Thrown and Finesse properties when wielded by the servant.

Magical Body. If targeted by the Dispel Magic spell or subjected to an Antimagic Field, the servant dies.

Description

Long ago, this unseen servant was magically conjured by some spellcaster. It would carry out the mage's orders, then wink out of existence without any fanfare. It performed every duty to the letter, except the last; when its time came, the servant simply remained within reality, ready to serve. Perhaps the dense magical energy within the mage's lair tethered the servant to life. Puzzled yet pleased, the mage kept it as a lifelong servant.

It cooked and cleaned with utmost diligence, so much so that it carried on long after its creator perished. However, over hundreds of years, the servant experienced a certain growth. It found itself able to comprehend language and think beyond instinct. Its invisible form left a shadow. This being, once an extension of its creator, now had a body and a mind.

Magical energy or no, the servant is still subhuman. Its barely corporeal form is pathetic against muscle and bone, and its mind is dull. Unaware of its master's passing, or perhaps unsure of what to do with its freedom, it slavishly carries out the same chores as it always has. It is only able to use its newfound intelligence to parrot the mannerisms of the only person it has ever known.

Without any intellectual stimulation, who can blame it? It will attack when attacked and it will answer questions to the best of its ability, but left alone, it will continue to perform menial tasks obsessively.
