Description
Long before recorded history, the gods attempted to destroy the Elder Evil Atropus by invading its body. Although the forces of the gods fought valiantly, Atropus' malignant powers drove them to flight, leaving his husk littered with the bodies of slain angels.
Having feasted on the angel's souls, Atropus breathed unlife into their rotted corpses. They now serve as Atropus' scouts and heralds, walking embodiments of the Elder Evil's many blasphemies.
Eternal Blasphemers. Angels of Decay constantly gibber and chant in a corrupted form of Celestial. Those who can understand their rantings often find themselves stunned by their sheer profanity.
Endless Shame. An Angel of Decay will single mindedly follow the orders of its master, or simply kill any living creature it comes across if given no orders. The one exception is if the Angel of Decay encounters a worshiper, holy symbol or other obiect or creature associated with the god they served in life.
The Angel of Decay will abandon all tasks and ignore all orders until the obiect or creature is destroyed. An Angel of Decay instinctively recognises any creature that worships their former deity.
Undead Nature. An Angel of Decay doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.
