Description

A worg is an evil predator that delights in hunting and devouring creatures weaker than itself. Cunning and malevolent, worgs roam across the remote wilderness or are raised by goblins and hobgoblins. Those creatures use worgs as mounts, but a worg will turn on its rider if it feels mistreated or malnourished. Worgs speak in their own language and Goblin, and a few learn to speak Common as well.

Vale Goblin War Worgs are specially "trained" mounts used by Vale Goblins in their attacks on farmsteads, as well as on nighttime patrols. Although the Vale Goblins ride worgs into combat, they do not control the worgs; rather, the goblins are along for the ride, and do their best to contribute to the combat. The hobgoblins controlling the Vale Goblins have encouraged an extreme level of cruelty in the worgs. As such, the riders live in constant fear of falling off of their worgs, who, through a combination of instinct, training, and malevolence, typically turn without hesitation on a rider who has fallen off. Every kill a War Worg makes inspires it to continue fighting.
