Description

Acidag was once a mortal man. An alchemist who worked honestly and was very fair. But he was bored with his life so he decided to become an adventurer. He traveled the world far and wide with seven other companions. However one day his company disappeared. Acidag was found several years later in his castle of jade. He was a different man entirely. To the people who had known him he had not aged a day, in fact, they say he may have gotten younger. Acidag is tall with black hair and olive skin. His armor is jade plate and he always carries around a pure Jade dagger. Since his disappearance, he has sought destruction and ruin to the world around him. Many have tried to defeat him all have failed. If your party defeats Acidag he leaves behind three things. Adagcid Dagger of Legend, Jade Plate, and a Jade necklace featuring a bottle on a chain. Inside the bottle is one dose of Assasins Blood.

Lair and Lair Actions

Acidag's Lair is a great castle made solid Jade. The main hall where Acidag resides is a great hall with a platform at the end. Upon the platform is a great Jade Throne. Throughout the castle, there are lakes of acid and poison bubbling with noxious fumes.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 15 (losing initiative ties), Acidag takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Acidag can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

  • Acidag causes the floor to burst with acid causing each character to make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 poison damage.
  • Acidag causes the floor to shake and tremble to force each character to make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.

Regional Effects

The region containing Acidag's lair is Poisoned, which creates one or more of the following effects:

  • Every 15 feet there is a puddle of poison. If a character steps into a puddle they take 1d8 poison damage to navigate this field is similar to walking through difficult terrain.
  • Everything in the region is made of jade and has 35 hit points if a character wishes to break something.

If Acidag dies, these effects fade over the course of 3d4 days.
