Innate Spellcasting (Psionics). The githzerai’s innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom. It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:

At will: mage hand (the hand is invisible)

Psychic Defense. While the githzerai is wearing no armor and wielding no shield, its AC includes its Wisdom modifier.

Cunning Action. On each of its turns, the githzerai can use a bonus action to take the DashDisengage, or Hide action.

Evasion. If the githzerai is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, the gtihzerai instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.

Sneak Attack (1/Turn). The githzerai deals an extra 7 (2d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of the githzerai that isn’t incapacitated and the thief doesn’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Actions

Multiattack. The githzerai makes two unarmed strikes, or one shortsword attack and one unarmed strike.

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage plus 9 (2d8) psychic damage. This is a magic weapon attack.

Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.
