Personality and Behavior
Azmyths are solitary wanderers, often found in serene and lush areas where they feed on flowers, small plants, and insects. Despite their solitary nature, they frequently return to specific locations they consider their favorite haunts. They are known for forming partnerships with humanoid creatures, often establishing deep and loyal friendships that can last a lifetime and even extend to the creatures' offspring.
Communication with azmyths occurs through telepathy, allowing them to share their emotions and thoughts with those around them. Although they cannot be controlled directly as familiars are, they offer their aid and companionship willingly, acting with a sense of autonomy.
Their appearance is marked by crested heads, bearded chins, white pupil-less eyes, and leathery gray, mauve, or emerald green skin. Azmyths emit various sounds, including shrill squeaks of alarm or rage and endearing, liquid chuckles of delight or amusement.
In combat, an azmyth defends itself using its sharp bite and needle-like tail, capable of delivering a shocking electrical attack when needed. However, they prefer to avoid conflict whenever possible and rely on their evasive abilities to escape dangerous situations.
Legends suggest that azmyths can live for over 100 years, but due to their elusive nature, their actual lifespan remains a mystery. They are known to be curious and benevolent beings, often forming bonds with those who show them kindness and respect in return.
