Innate Spellcasting. Vadin's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 17). Vādin can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: druidcraft
3/day each: dispel magic, wither and bloom, spike growth, vampiric touch
1/day each: moonbeam, wall of thorns, blight
Magic Resistance. Vādin has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Speak with Beasts and Plants. Vādin can communicate with beasts and plants as if they shared a language.
Multiattack. Vādin makes three attacks, using its vine staff, its black thorns, or both.
Vine Staff. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or become restrained by twisting vines for 1 minute. A target restrained in this way can use an action to make a DC 17 Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Black Thorns. Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage.
Suppress Magic (Recharge 5–6). Vādin targets one magic item it can see within 120 feet of it. If the magic item isn’t an artifact, its magical properties are suppressed for 10 minutes, until Vādin is incapacitated or dies, or until Vādin uses a bonus action to end the effect.
Description
Vādin and Asatya used to be elves living in the Upasantin forest. But they contributed in a dark ritual and gained eternal life as evil Fey creatures. They are bound to the place where they turned into immortal malevolent creatures, making sure since then life isn't restored in this part of the forest.
