Lightning Breath (Recharge 5-6). The skydrake shoots a bolt of lightning from its mouth that is 40-foot long and 5 feet wide. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 42 (12d6) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Description
Skydrakes are closely related to true dragons, but aren't quite as magical and don't grow to as enormous sizes as their cousins.
Lightning skydrakes are said to be lightning given form. They strike fast and retreat faster, zipping around the battlefield like the deadly bolts that are their namesake, and can fire said bolts from their maws like a swift, fatal breath weapon.
Adult lightning skydrakes have vibrant red scales and yellow eyes with pupils shaped like lightning bolts. They value their personal freedom above all else, including the endless struggle between good and evil. Most lightning skydrakes will refuse any bribe or payment in favor of owing no one, making them very difficult to work with. They tend to be uncooperative and eager to be done with whatever binds them, and are prone to abandoning allies if the tide turns against them. The threat of death is unlikely to intimidate them into service, but the threat of capture often does the trick. Lightning skydrakes would sooner die than be restrained by anyone.
