Hoarding Behavior (passive). Gold from defeated enemies is automatically added to inventory after combat. No looting action is required.
Storm Affinity. During a thunderstorm, the dragon has +1 to all rolls, +3 to Lightning Breath damage rolls, cold damage immunity, and increased movement speed (50 ft., 100 ft. flying)
Lightning Breath. The dragon exhales lightning in a 100-foot line that is 3 feet wide. Creatures in that line must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking (15 d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack. +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. On hit, target takes (2 d10 +5) piercing damage plus (1 d10) lightning damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack. +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., 2 or less targets in front of creature. On hit, (2 d10) slashing damage
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack. +10 to hit, reach 20 ft., all targets within range behind creature. On hit, (2 d10) bludgeoning damage.
Multi-attack. The dragon makes two claw attacks and either a bite or tail attack.
Thunderous Roar. The dragon bellows with thunderous force. Each creature within a 20 ft. cube must make a Constitution saving throw or be pushed 10 feet away. Cannot be used if dragon's mouth is unable to open.
Storm's Fury. When the dragon is hit by a Melee attack, halve the damage taken. The attacker takes (1 d6) lightning damage that interrupts multi-attacks. If 5 or more lightning damage is taken, attacker is pushed 10 feet away.
The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 10 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or take 14 (2d6 + 7) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.
Description
Aqwamog is a typical Adult Blue Dragon in appearance. They have decided to make their lair within a deep mossy cave atop a mountain, rather than the traditional coastal or desert biomes. Like most Blue Dragons, Aqwamog's hoard consists of valuables that appeal to the eye (e.g. gems, art, luminescent objects, gold).
Aqwamog is mostly tolerant of humans, with the exception of those who trespass and those two attempt to steal. They will defend their territory and their hoard with their life.
Since their banishment from the realm, Aqwamog appears to be a young adult human with humans, wings, and a tail. They do not retain their draconic abilities or stats in this form.
Lair and Lair Actions
LAIR
Aqwamog's lair lies in a mossy cave, atop a barren mountain surrounded by pine trees. Most creatures find the summit nearly-impossible to get to on account of the sharp rocks and steep incline which make climbing downright hazardous. The cave within the mountain is littered with moss and crystals. The unique composition of the rocks here make for enchanting amethyst, quartz, and obsidian clusters when combined with draconic lightning breath. The cave terminates in a deep underground lake and an ancient forgotten temple littered with treasure. Few who see it live to describe it.
LAIR ACTIONS
The stillness of the lair allows Aqwamog to detect changes in electromagnetic fields.
- Spells with lightning effects can be sensed from 200 feet away.
- Electric machines or devices can be identified from 180 feet away.
- Heartbeats can be detected from 120 feet away.
Rocks hit with Lightning Breath turn into either Quartz, Amethyst, or Obsidian (dragon's choice) and fall down. Players hit with falling rocks take (1 d10) bludgeoning damage. Thunderous Roar shakes the earth and causes all creatures on the ground within 100 feet to fall prone upon failing a Constitution saving throw.
