Traits

Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the Shadow Crawler to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the Shadow Crawler drops to 1 hit point instead.

Creatures of Darkness. During the night is the most dangerous time to fight a Shadow Crawler. As the night moons grant them extra strength and precision. While it is night, Shadow Crawlers gain advantage on their first melee attack per turn and on a hit deal an additional 1d6 damage.

Actions

Multiattack. The Shadow Crawler makes two claw attacks. For each of these attacks that reduces a creature to 0 hit points, the Shadow Crawler can make an additional claw attack.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.

Fall into Shadow. The Shadow Crawler can use its action to become nothing more than a shadow on the wall. Moving through the ethereal plane.

Reactions

Shadow Blink. The Shade Crawler can use its reaction to quickly blink in and out of shadow. Causing any creature that is attacking it to gain disadvantage on the attack.

After 24 hours the corpse raises as a full fledged Shadow Crawler.
