Description

Cream puff dragon, the most resenting and self-conscious of the dragons. They see themselves as the true inheritors of the deserts or the waters riches and the people in it. The hate other dragons due to being the but of many jokes. They are seen as weak and unintimidating. This repetitive bullying makes them have a very quick trigger.

A Cream puff dragon is perhaps the most pleasant looking chromatic dragon. The head more rounded and similar to a snake coming to a nice rounded snout. The eyes sunk into the head as the body and scales along the cream puff dragon look soft and flat. The chest broad  and the dragon is a unique species that does not have a standard set of wings. It instead has three fins that can prop up from the back, head, and tail. The dragon used to burrowing through dirt and sand. Often going into the water as well as their diet is usually fish and bugs such as ankhegs and freshwater fish.

Self-conscious Upheaval. They are so vain when it comes to their appearance that is drives most of their actions. They seek out objects to make themselves look better or hide their true form. Due to this a relic capable of casting polymorph is very precious to them. Even a hat of disguise serves them well. If anyone insults their appearance they don’t just stop at killing the person, the then torture them to find out where their family is, and abduct the family, just to kill in front of the offender before killing them.

They are the smallest of all dragons, often being bullied around by the larger species for size and their pale pink hue. The dragons are often self conscious and abused due to this. Though one has never been raised among the fairer races, it is speculated that if they were to be well taken care of, they would make decent companions and friends to the civilization. But there has been no recorded instances of such an event happening.

Desert and water. They often choose one of the two and become completely obsessed with it, specifically a certain area. Such as a great lake, a dune of sand, or a stretch of river. They take anything of worth and hide it within the area that they claim, often the bottom of the river or lake, or inside of the dune. They force subjugation of the occupants if there are any and have them worship, and revere it through fear. Constantly having to praise the dragon.

Lair and Lair Actions

On initiative 20 (losing on ties) the dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; The dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row.

  • Target opponent within 120ft of the dragon that it can see is levitated in the air, giving Disadvantage on attack rolls and reducing their movement to 0ft.
  • A rush of sand or water comes rushing into the lair. Anyone within 30ft of the entrance besides the dragon must make a Dexterity saving throw DC 11, on a failed save they are Incapacitated for the rest of the round.
  • The sand pots/puddles of water erupt, anyone within 20ft of them must make a Constitution saving throw DC 13. On a failed save they take 2d6 Bludgeoning damage

Regional Effects

  • All surfaces seem to have a much more reflective hue to them and as such, can redirect light based spells along the surfaces of trees, grass, water, and natural flora or fauna. If anything is picked from this area it loses the mirror-like sheen. 1 mile radius
  • Given a day or longer they can make pink clouds that are solid to anyone but the dragon within it’s lair or just outside the lair.
  • Patches of land are turned slowly to a grey dust around the dragons presence and areas it visits more frequently.

If the dragon dies these effects slowly fade over 1d10 days.
