Traits

Turn Resistance. The skeletal dragon has advantage on saving throws against any effect that turns Undead.

Unusual Nature. The skeletal dragon doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Actions

Multiattack. The skeletal dragon can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes one Bite attack and two Claw attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (4d10 + 8) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d6 + 8) slashing damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the skeletal dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the skeletal dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the skeletal dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Description

"Behold the awe-inspiring sight of the ancient skeletal dragon, a colossal undead behemoth of unparalleled might. Towering over a hundred feet in length, its skeletal form is adorned with the remnants of decaying flesh, hanging loosely from its massive bones. Its skeletal wings, adorned with tattered membranes, span wide, casting a chilling shadow over the surrounding landscape. The dragon's eye sockets glow with an ethereal, malevolent light, revealing the remnants of its once fearsome gaze. Rows of jagged teeth line its elongated jaw, ready to rend and tear its enemies apart. The ancient skeletal dragon's immense stature exudes an air of primal power, as if the very essence of death and destruction radiates from its bony frame."

Fallen Dragons.

Skeletal Dragons, once fearsome and mighty creatures of the skies, have now been reduced to undead terrors. These abominations are the result of dark and forbidden necromantic rituals, raising the skeletal remains of long-deceased dragons. However, the process of resurrecting a dragon is no easy feat, even for the most skilled necromancers.

Draconic Independence.

Skeletal Dragons are difficult to control and often possess a primitive nature that defies the commands of their masters. They retain a measure of autonomy, acting with a fierce independence that makes them a challenge to bind to the will of a necromancer. Only the most powerful and knowledgeable practitioners of necromancy can attempt such a feat, and even then, the control they exert over the Skeletal Dragon is tenuous at best.

Undead Horrors.

These skeletal monstrosities roam desolate lands and forgotten ruins, drawn to places of power and ancient dragon lore. They are driven by an insatiable hunger for the life energy that they can no longer possess, seeking to drain the life force of any unfortunate enough to cross their path. Though primitive in their undead state, Skeletal Dragons are still formidable opponents, capable of unleashing devastating attacks and defending themselves with their razor-sharp bone structure.
