Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 1) slashing damage plus 2 (1d4) acid damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 11). Until this grapple ends, the ankheg can bite only the grappled creature and has advantage on attack rolls to do so.
Acid Spray (1 per short rest). The ankheg spits acid in a line that is 20 feet long and 3 feet wide, provided that it has no creature grappled. Each creature in that line must make a DC 11 Dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (1d12) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The Juvenile Ankheg is the second stage of the ankheg life cycle. This phase generally lasts anywhere from 12-18 weeks depending on the food supply.
