Art of the Deal. Al-Gaston has advantage in skill checks in Deception; Persuasion; anything regarding gambling; regarding a contract or similar negotiations.
Amulet of Glibness. The user can cast Glibness or Mind Blank targeting itself by expending one charge. Has 3 charges. Restores 1d4 -1 charges per day.
Innate Spellcasting. Alphonse-Gaston's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 20). Al-Gaston can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: Toll of the dead (17th level), Blight,
3/day each: Mental Prison, Dense Macabe,
2/day each: Aganazzar’s Scorcher,
1/day each: Feeblemind,
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 32 (4d12 + 5) piercing damage.
Snaggletooth. When declaring the Bite action, Al-Gaston can lunge an extra 5 ft. with his tongue, but the target will take half damage and is grappled if the attack hits.
Devour. Target a Medium or smaller creature that is grappled. The target is swallowed, being blinded and restrained. The target can still hear outside Al-Gaston, who's speed is reduced to 15 ft.. The target can be grappled up to a number of turns equal to their CON modifier +1, the following turn they are dropped to 0 HP and is dying.
To escape the target must make an Athletic/Acrobatics check against Al-Gaston who has advantage against that roll. If they succeed the saving throw, they escape and are flung 5 ft. away. Al-Gaston can also expend an action to spit the target up to 15 ft. away and deal 2d8 acid damage.
Shape-changer. The area around Al-Gaston spreads with subtle darkness and the creature slowly grows to a larger size, revealing a more devilish appearance. The clothes he is wearing and his cane is also transformed. It reverts to its true form if he dies. Switching to this form can instantly imbue Fear Aura, enables the reaction Hellish rebuke and increases his strength score temporarily by 4. Can expend an action to switch between Large and Medium size once per short rest each.
Fear Aura. Imbued when Shape-changer is activated. The subtle darkness grows, as a continuous gust of chilling wind blows outwards seeming behind from Al-Gaston. All creatures within 20 ft. of Al-Gaston, that it can see must succeed on a DC 17 Charisma saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to this effect for the next 24 hours.
Cane of the River-King. A gift from the Lord of Lies himself, a black, silver-rimmed cane. Has the hollowed skull of a crow with red shine of a gem or shard emanating from the center through the eyes. The cane has the Reflect Enchantment and regains 1d4 -1 charges between rest.
To activate the latent powers of the cane you must expend an action to tap it firmly against a solid surface. The ground ripples and instantly creates an encirclement, 150 ft. wide around the caster with a circle of magical darkness seemingly outside, spiraling round the fog. No creatures can enter this fog from the outside, they simply pass through and can be treated under the effects of Mirage Arcane . These effects will disappear if Al-Gaston is made unconscious, otherwise assume they last 3 hours unless removed. The fog will be manipulated when spell casting.
- Dimension door. can be cast as a bonus action, by entering the dark fog outside the encirclement. You can also have the fog reach out, completely smother you and take you in. You appear somewhere else within the encirclement.
- Telekinesis. can be cast as a bonus action, but in the form of a giant hand made up from the darkness that is the encirclement. The trail from the hand can extend as dark fog from the cane's gem or from the encirclement.
- Mental Prison. When a creature enters the dark fog (ie: through Telekinesis), Al-Gaston can cast Mental Prison normally. This can happen if multiple creatures enter the dark fog simultaneously.
- Modify Memories. can expend an action to tap it firmly against a solid surface again, ending the effect of the cane. However, Al-Gaston can cast Modify Memory on the surrounding creatures and make them forget of what had just happened. Surrounding creatures to event will have their memories altered if successful and would not have remembered the event.
Hellish rebuke. While in his enlarged form, Al-Gaston can cast hellish rebuke as a 3rd level spell as his reaction, thrice between rests.
Counterspell. Al-Gaston can cast counterspell as his reaction (5th). It has a +7 modifier to the roll, if it needs to make one.
Reflect Enchantment (Cane). When an enchantment spell targets Al-Gaston and he succeeds the saving throw, the spell is reflected back upon the caster as if he had cast the spell himself (although he still uses the the original caster's spell save DC). This can be cast as a reaction thrice between rests.
Al-Gaston can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
