Magic Resistance. The baby phoenix has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Limited Telepathy. The baby phoenix can magically communicate simple ideas, emotions, and images telepathically with any creature within 100 ft, of it that can understand a language.
Fire to Ash. When the baby phoenix dies, Phoenix Egg appears in the space that baby phoenix previously occupied. If the baby phoenix was in flight, the phoenix egg ignores any damage it would have taken from the fall.
Magic Weapons. The baby phoenix's weapon attacks are magical.
Familiar. The baby phoenix can serve another creature as a familiar, forming a magic, telepathic bond with that willing companion. While the two are bonded, the companion can sense what the baby phoenix senses as long as they are within 1 mile of each other. The baby phoenix can end its service as a familiar, ending the telepathic bond.
Overprotective. Unless otherwise specified, baby phoenix will always try to use Protective Shroud on its companions as its first action in combat. Protective Shroud now also provides advantage on saving throws against all spells and other magical effects.
Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 slashing damage plus (1d6) fire damage.
Fire Ray. Ranged Spell Attack: +5 to hit, range 15 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d8) fire damage.
Protective Shroud. The baby phoenix can shroud a willing creature with a protective aura. The creature gains advantage to saving throws against spells that affect their minds. Baby Phoenix cannot take an action while shrouding, and must stay within 5 ft. of the creature or the effect ends. Baby Phoenix regains the ability to use this feature after the Baby Phoenix finishes a short or long rest. If the shrouded creature's hit points drop to 0, the baby phoenix can use its reaction to transfer all its remaining hit points to the shrouded creature. The baby Phoenix turns into a Phoenix egg after successfully transferring its hit points.
Illumination. The baby phoenix sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. The effect lasts for an hour unless dismissed as a bonus action or dispelled.
Revival. When the baby phoenix's companion dies within the baby phoenix's sight, Baby Phoenix can make a DC 17 Charisma check. On a successful check, the baby phoenix can bring the companion back to life at 0 hit points. The companion is not stabilized and must roll death saving throws as normal. The baby phoenix turns into Phoenix Egg after using this feature, regardless of the success or failure of the check. The baby phoenix remains as the phoenix egg for 1d6 +1 before being able to benefit from Rejuvenation.
